Well, it’s about that time again. Time to talk about eBay! eBay is hot right now, and may even be hotter in the future. Many people from all walks of life and varying intelligence are making a great living by selling on eBay. And guess what? You can too. Not only do I believe in you, I want to give you some tips that can help you to succeed.

There are some essential things that you will want to do if you want to make it big on eBay. There’s a little bit of selling that you have to do. You see on a site like Amazon, you can just list your item, and then wait until someone orders. And this is why a lot of people LOVE selling on Amazon. They get so much buyer traffic everyday, and the “selling process” is super easy. Well, eBay can be easy too.

I’ve seen $150 cell phones sell immediately on eBay with just a 5 sentence paragraph. Can you imagine putting up a website online, and then putting a product up on it, and writing 5 sentences about it, and having it sell quickly? More than likely, this is an improbable possibility for you.

Let’s get into some quick tips on how you can have success on eBay. These techniques are proven to work, and they work whether you sell on eBay – or if you sell products on your own website also. If you want to improve your eBay sales, then you should pay attention to these strategies. Here’s the first one:

1) Depending on what you sell, sell on “Half.com” also.

Remember Amazon? Well, “Half.com” is a sub-site of eBay that works under the same way that Amazon does. And items sell FAST here. But, they don’t have as many categories as Amazon. On this sub-site, you can sell CD’s, DVD’s, books, textbooks, audio books, and more.

It’s an easy way to make more money in your spare time, and all you have to do is ship out items when they sell. Plus… it’s a great way to boost your feedback score up SUPER fast. Your feedback score on “Half.com” transfers over and correlates to your main account on eBay. So great credibility builder here on this site. Here’s another tip:

2) Do more direct advertising to your past customers

This is known as “backend marketing”. This is basically the process of selling more of your products to the customers that you already have. This is where the bulk of your money online will come from. Even if you do 100% free advertising online, 80% of your total business income will come from your backend customers.

Imagine what you can do with them. You can sell them more products in your eBay inventory. You can sell them a $500 package. You can sell them into a $2000 seminar. You can sell them into a $20/month continuity program. And etc. There’s a lot of money to be made here. It’s up to you to go and get it.

Selling on eBay can be a breeze if you know what to do. Get some experience, learn how to sell on it, and don’t forget basic direct response and internet marketing techniques – so that you can get more visitors to your auctions. Good luck!
